Supporting The Leukaemia Foundation

At the end of this season a member of our Junior Soccer Club was diagnosed with leukaemia and is undergoing treatment for the next two years.

As you can imagine this is devastating for the child, his family, and friends.

To show their support, his team mates are going to take part in the 'worlds greatest shave' on the 23rd Oct.

The kids have a set a goal for $13K and we would like to invite this great soccer community to sponsor the kids in this great cause.

Your donation will go towards finding a cure for Leukemia plus provide the necessary support programs to help the individual and their families.

Every donation makes a difference.

Grand Final Champions

Congratulations to our Grand Final Champions – U12 & U16 Girls

U12 Girls won 4-1

In an exciting and tough match at times, the girls completely dominated from the kick off. Scoring early and holding off some tough spirited attacks, they finished the game as they started, with huge smiles on their faces.

What an amazing effort from a newly formed team with 6 players in their 1st year of soccer and also a coach in her debut season.

They also finished the year on top of the points table and had the competitions leading goal scorers.

U16 Girls won 2-0

What a game. With end to end football for the entire match, the game was there to be taken.

With a Grand Final loss hanging over their heads from last year, there was a never give up attitude within the girls that finally earn’t them their just rewards.

Fighting off attack after attack, with shots ringing of their posts, they continued to push forward, and with 5 mins to go, they took the lead with a beautifully composed finish. From their they were never going to let it go and I don’t think the coach would have lasted any longer than 5 mins either.

They finished with a second goal on the buzzer that summed up the teams effort on the day.

U12.3 lost 1-0

Unfortunately on Saturday our U12 Mixed team lost their Grand Final.

What a fantastic achievement for them to make the Grand Final in their 1st year of competition.

After going down early, the spirit shown by all kids to again never give up until the final whistle was blown.

Congratulations also to the teams who made the Finals (6/10) – U13.4, U12.2 & U17.1

All players represented our club with pride and showed great sportsmanship, patience, Teamwork and continually encouraged each other at all times.

So Congratulations to all Coaches, Managers & Parents, as for its because of you that we have so many great kids leading by example, representing our proud club.

Good Luck To All Our Grand Finalists

Match Of The Round - U10 Black Vs Thirroul

U10 Black(girls) vs Thirroul      6-1 winners

The girls worked hard this week, really bringing the skills they have been practicing with coach Dave at training into play, a combination of great passes and solid defence, left the girls with a 6-1 win over Thirroul.

Alivia, who usually plays in the backs had a run up the front and wasted no time placing the ball in the back of the net in the first 2 minutes.

Brydie did an awesome job dominating the midfield assisting in one goal she put another 2 points on the board for us, earning her one of todays player of the match awards.

The second player of the match today went to Zahlie, who played her heart out scoring a hatrick.

The team played exceptionally well and special mention needs to go to our backs who worked tirelessly in defense, their hard work is reflected in the score.

These girls are improving every week and are an exciting team to watch.

Well done under 10 black

Jess Jones (manager)
